While I’m all for recycling products and reducing our waste, I am not really a huge fan of Earth Day. However, I do like to take the week to teach my kids about different recyclable products and how we can reduce our trash. We do some fun projects and try to take a trip to the trash dump or a recycling plant just to see what its all about.

If your kids love the “I Spy” books, but find them frustrating because they are above their level, you will love these! I decided to create a small fun pack for my little ones who love the “I Spy” pages. This pack includes a simple, yet fun “I Spy” page with an accompanying “Can You Find?” sheet for them to complete.

We use the graphing page for her to color in the number of squares for the coordinating picture from the first two pages. The matching cards are a great way for her to practice shape recognition or print double of the color page and have a fun little game to work on their memory! And the story-telling cards…those are her favorite! Simply cut them out, tape or glue them on to craft sticks and let their imaginations run wild.

This 6-page Earth Day I Spy Fun Pack includes:

  • I Spy page
  • Can You Find? page
  • Graphing page to use with I Spy page
  • Matching Cards (print these twice for a fun matching game)
  • Shadow matching cards
  • Story-telling cards

If you’re looking for some great readers to use while celebrating Earth Day, check out these great titles. Many are probably available at your local library, or you could get a Kindle version for most of them on Amazon. I love using my Kindle Reader app to read with my kids. I have so many titles at the tip of my fingers in just minutes!
