Gardening has never been my forte. I love the idea of it. I love the rewards it brought us when we tried gardening for a season, but we weren’t very successful for the amount of work we put in. It was rather frustrating, to be honest. But…that doesn’t mean I don’t want to keep trying or teach my kids about it.
I love these unit studies for a variety of reasons. I love being able to pull out one set of printables for all subjects. It is a nice change of pace from all the books we typically drag out. Gardening offers so many learning opportunities, which is why I wanted to update this unit study for you all.
Some of you may be wondering what happened to the FREE Gardening Unit Study. Truth is, that was created over 5 years ago before I knew much about copyright, or anything really. In order to give you the best quality of products, LEGALLY, I needed to update this pack. With that came more pages and thus the paid version.
Included in this pack:
- 48 total pages of printables
- Language Arts
- Social Studies/Geography
- Visual Arts
- Emergent Readers (color & B/W)
- Montessori-Inspired Counting Cards (1-10)
- Notebooking Pages
This pack is designed for PreK-5th grades. If you’re looking for something to please your middle and high schoolers, be sure to check out our Spring Poetry Copywork pack! I have added some great activities for older kids in this unit study (by subject), but I know my oldest still likes to do some of the activities with our little ones too. They can also use the included notebooking pages to do their own research on gardening.
