This week’s wrap-up is going to be pretty sparce! We’ve pretty much finished up all our subjects. We had a little Science and Bible reading to finish as well as his last week of Review Words for Spelling. That was it!!! Needless to say, Mister Bull was beyond thrilled for the less than packed schedule.
It’s been an interesting week around here though. The Hubster took the lead on everything as I landed myself in the hospital last Friday night with this Crohn’s flair up. I was in the hospital until Tuesday evening! It has really taken so much out of me, that I find myself getting easily frustrated. So, I’ve had to really work on staying relaxed and calm for myself and the kiddos.
We did manage to plant one of our mini Greenhouse’s this week!! We decided to go ahead and plant the tomatoes and cucumbers. We don’t eat peppers and eggplant, so we passed on those for now. Mister Bull has the responsibility of keeping up with the “garden” and keeping them watered properly. So, hopefully between my gentle reminders and his excitement we’ll actually have some viable veggies in a few weeks/months. I’m really not sure how long they take to grow in this greenhouse thing. So…if nothing else…it should be interesting!
Here are some pictures from our planting experience! Enjoy!!
My new favorite resource is the blog Free Homeschool Deals.com, hosted by Jamerrill of Holy Spirit Led Homeschooling. I cannot begin to tell you how much I love this site!!! I get the daily emails and go download nearly all the FREE books for Kindle. I seriously do this daily!! I think I’m addicted. And I don’t even have a Kindle! In fact, I loved it so much and was so excited about these deals that I downloaded the Kindle for computer version. I showed it to Mister Bull and he asks several times a day to get on here and read books. He loves looking through all the ones I’ve downloaded. It’s been a great way to sneak in some extra reading for him!!! If you haven’t checked out her site, you should. And if you haven’t checked out all the cool FREE deals for Kindle – you absolutely MUST!!!!
What did you do this week in your homeschooling journey? Feel free to share you favorite experiment, tip, idea or just a word of encouragement for others!!
