Have you ever had one of those weeks where everyone seems to be in a mood? Not necessarily bad moods all week, just…moods. That was this week – me included. So, this week was a little scattered to say the least. I’m going to share some random photos from our week and some of them even have to do with homeschooling! They’re just cute! HA!
Everyday this week Punkin’ fell asleep at lunch. Some days she didn’t even finish her lunch! If she would just learn to sleep past 7am, she and I both would be much happier! The picture of her awake was at dinner, but I just thought it was too cute to pass up.
We hit 51 days on Monday of this week. That means we’re over half-way to our 100th day of School Celebration!! Mister Bull was quite excited!!
This week I was able to accomplish quite a few “extras” on the To Do list. Making more laundry soap was definitely HIGH on the priority list!
Do your kids like to hide things from you? Mine sure do! Some days its a long day of hide-and-seek to find favorite blankies, pacifiers (which seem to disappear like Houdini) and sippie cups. Sometimes its my kids who disappear from me! This week I found the small Wii remote in our (unplugged) George Forman grill and Miss Priss was found hiding in her brothers window! You just never know around here!!
Speaking of the Wii, Mister Mouse has become quite fond of Wii Fit Plus the past few weeks. He particularly enjoys playing the obstacle course. Today he successfully completed Level 1 and Level 2 of the Advanced Course all by himself. That boy is super coordinated and apparently very good at this game! He didn’t get it from me, that’s for sure! With the crazy weather in our area, we often use Wii Fit Plus to give the kids some exercise and an outlet when going outside isn’t an option. They think they’re playing a game and I see them exercising!! It’s a win-win!
I’ve been longing for the day when my oldest would step in and help one of his younger siblings with their school work. Today I found Mister Bull helping Miss Priss with her Calendar Notebook. It was a definite Proud Mommi moment!
And, if you’ve been following along in our tadpole drama – we finally have our first baby frog!! My nephews came over for a short visit tonight and the older one found this little sitting on the side of the pool. The kids were so excited!! I simply wanted the picture and then promptly scooted him back outside with the little creature. Most of the other tadpoles only have their hind legs, but I’m sure we’ll see more little baby frogs in the near future.
Our week was a bit chaotic and scattered to say the least. And sometimes, the best medicine is to just go along for the ride. Mister Mouse and Miss Priss decided they wanted to eat on a “train” one day for lunch. Now, normally this OCD, Type A Mommi would object (because meals should be at the table), but this particular day I was just excited to see them eating their food. So I let them “eat on a train,” which they said was the coowist (coolest) thing ever! But as you can see, Miss Priss climbed down just in time for the picture to snap and Mister Bull made a lovely face! Oh well…such is life with toddlers! One things for sure – it’s never dull!
So there’s a mish-mash of our week. How was your week?
