Continuing with our Sharks theme…today I bring you some great Shark Writing Activities! From writing prompts to draw-then-write pages to copywork – we’ve got ya covered! Copywork is a great way not only to practice handwriting, but also retain the information you are learning. And writing prompts are a great way to fan those creative flames and see what really interests kids.
My kids are not fans of writing period. They really dislike copywork, but they love to learn the facts. And they really dislike writing papers, even if they enjoy the research. But they love creating stories and using their imaginations. So we compromise with writing activities.
We don’t do everything in one day and I let them pick and choose what writing prompts they want to work on each day. But for every writing prompt they choose, they have to do two pages of copywork. It really is a win-win. They are learning facts while working on their handwriting and stretching their imaginations!
Writing Activities Include:
- 29 pages of copywork
- 7 Preschool Letters
- 8 Early Manuscript words
- 4 pages Manuscript pages
- 4 pages Cursive pages
- PLUS Extra lined pages
- 6 themed Draw & Write prompts
