Growing up I loved summer. Just like everyone else, I would count down the days until school was out for the summer. It seemed like those last few weeks of school went by so slow, while moving quickly at the same time. I truly loved school, but I loved the freedom of those summer days too.
Now that I have my own kids and we homeschool, I have seen just how important it is to keep learning through the summer. Even though we take it down a notch during the summer, doing small activities and exercises each day help us keep to some sort of a routine. My kids do so much better with a routine and themed printables are a great way to do just that!
In this Welcome to Summer Preschool Activity Pack you will find a lot of different activities aimed at your preschool and kindergarten aged children. Help them prepare for Kindergarten or keep their brains sharp before returning to school in the Fall! There are more than 30 pages of fun activities in this pack to celebrate Summer and keep the little ones engaged in learning!
Materials you will need for this Summer fun preschool pack:
- Printed PDF – We love this printer and paper!
- Markers, crayons, or pencils
- Clothes Pins
- Do a Dot markers
Counting up to ten Graphing I Spy Game Clip Cards up to 10 Color practice Color Clip Cards Color and Number Puzzles Count and Color Cards up to 10 Patterns Matching Fine Motor Practice And Much More!
Puzzles Make Learning Fun
The first activity in this pack is the Count and Color number cards. You can use these as puzzles or just counting cards to help recognize the number and word. After that, you will find number puzzles. These are great for busy bags and quiet center time activities. I suggest laminating the clip cards and flashcards. This makes them more durable for little hands and keeps them from rolling up.
After that, you will find a few counting, graphing, and direction-following pages. There is also a cut and paste number sequencing work page to practice the number six. Students cut out the numbers and put them in order on the page.
Fine Motor Skills
You will also find fine motor skills builders such as cutting practice pages – three of them. On the first one, they will cut basic lines, next they will cut a spiral, and on the third they will cut out boxes. They can color the ocean animals and create puppets with them as well!
