Whether you’re going through the worst medical diagnosis, an expected loss, a divorce…whatever valley it is – do not fear!

Today I want to help you defeat this spirit of fear that has been tormenting you and robbing you of the blessings and the victory God has for your life. Here Are 5 Reasons Why You Should Not Fear.

Reason #1 Why You Should Not Fear – You have Jesus!

Jesus promised to always be with you, so no matter what happens, you can claim the peace that surpasses all understanding!

He is the Prince of Peace. You can count on His presence and peace to be an anchor to your soul. If you have received Jesus as your Lord and savior, I want you to know that you are saved, you are loved, and He deeply cares for you. He will never leave me or forsake me.

“And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:7

“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world, you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” John 16:33

Reason #2 Why You Should Not Fear – God’s Word is true and you can stand by it!

His unfailing Word is the truth that sustains us through the valleys and the mountains. Our firm foundation is built on the encouragement we receive from His Word daily. His truth makes us unshakable in spite of circumstances. We know we can stand on it because according to the Bible, God’s Word never turns back void, but it will produce what it was sent out to accomplish.

“For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return there without watering the earth and making it bear and sprout, and furnishing seed to the sower and bread to the eater; So will My word be, which goes forth from My mouth; It will not return to Me empty, without accomplishing what I desire, and without succeeding in the matter for which I sent it. “For you will go out with joy and be led forth with peace; The mountains and the hills will break forth into shouts of joy before you, and all the trees of the field will clap their hands… Isaiah 55:10-12

Reason #3 Why You Should Not Fear – His Promises Are True.

I want to share a personal story with you. A few nights ago, I was at the hospital doing two urgent MRIs requested by my neurologist. The reason for the MRIs was a possible aneurysm or a malformation on the back-left side of my brain that causes me a lot of pain, loss of my peripheral vision, numbness of my hands, dizziness etc.

As I laid still in the MRI machine for almost an hour, I kept thinking about all the promises God has given me at the beginning of this year and because of those promises I know that I had nothing to be afraid of.

You see, the Lord put in my heart that this will be my beyond blessed year and He gave my husband and I a new vision and direction to expand our ministry and take it on the road starting next year, which we have already been preparing for. Has He changed His mind? Absolutely not! He doesn’t change. The Bible said that there is no shadow of variation in Him. If He promised us, it will come to pass! For this reason, I chose to not let fear enter my heart and I am clinging to His promises.

I am sure that God has also given you a promise and you can trust Him to fulfill it!

I want you to stop here for a minute and reflect on God’s promises for your life. Write them down – claim them! His promises are true.

“And because of his glory and excellence, he has given us great and precious promises.” 2 Peter 1:4

Reason #4 Why You Should Not Fear – His Plans Are Better Than Our Plans!

Always! Eighteen years ago I had cancer. But when I think about all that I went through that year and I am so glad that happened in my life because it brought me to Him!!! And through my life and my testimony, so many people came to know the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and have placed their trust in Jesus The Messiah. His plans will always prevail, and it will always be for His glory!

Did I understand what God was doing in my life at that time? Nope. Did I see any good in it while I was going through it? Nope. But now I see clearly that He was still in control of my life as He is in control of yours, right now.

So perhaps things have derailed from your original plans and you are going through tough trials and tribulations, but I want you to know that God can still turn this situation for His glory! His plans are good. This valley won’t last forever. And I pray that through your testimony, many will come to know Him and give their lives to Jesus.

Trust Him. Call on Him. He has promised to come to the rescue those who call on Him.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” Jeremiah 29:11-12

Reason #5 Why You Should Not Fear – You Can Trust God.

Your Heavenly Father knows everything about you. You are His! He formed you in your mother’s womb. All your days are numbered in His book. Nothing in your life will ever happen outside of His will. His will is good, perfect, and acceptable.

“So, do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” Isaiah 41:10.

Cast your cares on the Lord because He cares for you. He loves you so much!

Dear woman of God reading this, do not fear!

Fear is the opposite of faith. No matter what bad circumstances you are going through right now, faith is what you need, not fear! God did not give us a spirit of fear (1 Timothy 2:17), instead, he has given us the spirit of faith!

“And in keeping with what is written: “I believed, therefore I have spoken,” we who have the same spirit of faith also believe and therefore speak, knowing that the One who raised the Lord Jesus will also raise us with Jesus and present us with you in His presence…” – 2 Corinthians 4:13.

That spirit of fear is a liar but the spirit of faith is the spirit of truth – God’s Holy Spirit!

So how do we fight the spirit of fear? The answer is at the beginning of 2 Corinthians 4:13.

“In keeping with WHAT IS WRITTEN: “I believed, therefore I have spoken,” we who have the same spirit of faith also believe and therefore speak,”

I don’t know what you are going through, but this I know – His Word has the answer to your situation and the truth you need to believe and speak over your situation!

So, whatever might be what you are going through, I want you to be encouraged by this word and ask you to trust Him, to receive His peace, to know that His promises are true, His plans are good, and His will is perfect – no matter what!

I want to end this post with a verse I’ve been carrying in my heart since I gave my life to Jesus.

And we know that IN ALL THINGS God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to His purpose.” Romans 8:28
