We are continuing on in our Northern European studies. Today we are traveling southwest from our last unit in Finland down to Denmark. I love traveling, but I have never been overseas. It is a goal of mine to one day travel around Europe, but so far that is still a distant dream.
However, that doesn’t mean I can’t travel around through unit studies with my kids! We love digging in to different cultures and looking at pictures online. They love hearing different languages spoken and even trying to learn a little pronunciation themselves. That’s what make these studies so fun!

In this study your students will be introduced to the Danish language (links and flashcards provided), different maps of the country to label waterways/rivers, regions, main cities, fact files, as well as notebooking pages for recording other geographical & government facts.
While this is not a complete unit study on Denmark, I think simply adding some additional reading resources and possible a recipe or two and you will cover just about every subject.
Included in this Set
- 44 total pages
- Alphabet Flashcards
- Vowels
- Consonants
- Geography
- 3 labeled maps for studying
- 4 blank maps for labeling

If you’re like me, you’re probably worried about knowing how to say the correct pronunciation of the alphabet. Have no fear! I have included links to videos in the unit to help you get a feel for the pronounciation. I found a couple of really good videos to help with the basic alphabet (vowels and consonants). In addition, there are also videos that will teach you some basic phrases.
