Ever wonder what those crazy, wacky and just plain weird holidays are all about? These mini units are quick and easy ways to break up the monotony of your day and have some FUN!!! This week I have included some fun Writing Prompts with some of the Mini Units!!! I hope you enjoy them!

And NO…I didn’t forget about Dr. Suess’ birthday! But let’s face it – that’s hardly an obscure or weird holiday! Watch for a HUGE list of Dr. Suess Printables and Activities later this week!

I don’t do a mini unit for all the obscure holidays. I know there are more than just these, but these are the ones I feel are appropriate for my children. Here is a list of all the Obscure Holidays for next week!

Sunday, Feb 24th – Tortilla Chip Day

Monday, Feb 25th – National Chili Day, Chocolate Covered Nuts Day & Pistol Patent Day

Tuesday, Feb 26th – Tell a Fairy Tale Day, National Pistachio Day

Wednesday, Feb 27th – International Polar Bears Day, No Brainer Day

Thursday, Feb 28th – Floral Design Day, National Public Sleeping Day

Friday, Mar 1st – Pig Day, Peanut Butter Lover’s Day AND National Read Across America/Dr. Suess Day

Saturday, Mar 2nd – Old Stuff Day, Banana Cream Pie Day, Dr. Suess’ (actual) birthday

    1. I am so glad they enjoy them!!! I haven’t put any up in a couple weeks because there just wasn’t much to do. I am behind too!! This week there are a few fun things, but not much. Hopefully I will get them up tomorrow (Sun) for you to enjoy this week and next!! Thanks for stopping by and grabbing them!!!!
