Around here we celebrate Resurrection Day a little different than most. We place the emphasis on the cross and resurrection, rather than on a bunny and candy. While those things are not wrong and we don’t look down upon people who do them, we have simply chosen a different path for our family.
So in an effort to keep our kids focused on the cross and resurrection during the Easter season, I have created some copywork for them. This Resurrection Day copywork is taken directly from Scripture. Today I’m sharing my “Words from the Cross” copywork over at Frugal Homeschool Family.
However, the more I thought about it, I realized I couldn’t leave Jesus on the Cross!! So I created a follow-up copywork, The Risen Savior, which covers his resurrection and some of the conversations He had after.
Included in this set
- 14 separate pages of copywork
- Covering 22 different Scriptures from all 4 Gospels and Acts
- NIV and KJV available
- Available in Manuscript and Cursive
- Available as a Combo Pack, which contains both Manuscript & Cursive
- Extra lined pages included in each set

If you’re looking for some great readers to use while focusing on Resurrection Day, check out these great titles. Many are probably available at your local library, or you could get a Kindle version for most of them on Amazon. I love using my Kindle Reader app to read with my kids. I have so many titles at the tip of my fingers in just minutes!
