If you haven’t heard of The Ultimate Homeschool Radio Network, you’re missing out!! It is an online radio network dedicated to the encouragement, uplifting and informing homeschool parents. While many of the programs are geared toward homeschool moms. But there are certainly ones that dads would enjoy as well.

There are so many shows on the network that I could not even begin to list all the show times and content. But if you’re looking for a full schedule, you can find it HERE. It is published and outlined by month, so it is easy to navigate. However, if you’re worried that you might miss a new show or important information, you can sign up for their newsletter HERE. PLUS…sign up now and you’ll receive 5 {free} audios that will give you some much needed winter encouragement.

Several months ago, I was asked to participate in a focus group that listened and promoted shows on the network. So over the past several weeks I have listened to some of the LIVE shows and some of the recorded ones. And while all the ones I listened to were fantastic, there are a few that stood out to me as exceptional. Since I can’t possibly talk about all the shows offered on the network, I am going to share with you my favorites.

My most favorite show was the Learning to Speak Life shows by Michael and Carlie Kercheval. Talk about a precious couple who loves each other and the Lord even more!! They are such wonderful examples of living a life for Christ – even in the hard times. As one who struggles with controlling her own tongue in fits of frustration with my children, this show really resonates with me. It is a recorded show, so you can listen anytime after the 8pm PST time on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays. TRUST ME – this is a show you will want to listen and learn from. I love that they begin and end each session with prayer before they get into the “meat” of the session. They are truly a joy to listen to. The next show, is already recorded and ready for your listening enjoyment!!! Tune in now!

Mommy Jammies Night was another favorite show of mine. I was able to tune into the LIVE show on this one, which was an added twist. There is quite a bit of chatting going on during the session for moms to talk about a favorite quote or something they are struggling with. What’s nice is that the other women on the chat are ready and willing to offer support, encouragement and prayer for those struggling. You can also interject questions that the host, LaToya Edwards, will try to work into the conversation. I enjoyed this show so much, that I found myself sad it was only on once-a-month! Tune in to the next show on Tuesday, March 11th at 9pm EST!!!

The third show I would like to recommend is the Vintage Homeschool Moms hosted by Felice Gerwitz, founder of The Ultimate Homeschool Radio Network and Media Angels, Inc. This show is strictly for encouraging Homeschool Moms on their journey. If you’ve homeschooled for any length of time, you know it’s not all fun and games. Sometimes the days are long and frustrating. Vintage Homeschool Moms exists to encourage you when those hard days seem never ending. This show airs weekly on Mondays at Noon EST. Felice deals with struggles and challenges that face SAHM’s, WAHM’s, child rearing and more.

The show I enjoyed the most over the past few weeks was the one when she and 3 of her friends spoke. They spoke on the importance of friendships and accountability. They call themselves a mastermind group and have been together for 3 years. They make a point to get together once-a-year to relax together, work together and pray together. I was so intrigued by this, that I have begun to pray for a mastermind group of my own. What a joy to know that you have 3 other dedicated ladies praying for you and ready to encourage you, cry with you and listen to you as you travel through life and this journey of homeschooling.

Passenger Seat Womanhood is the newest show to the line-up and I am so excited about it!! I was not able to tune-in live, so I am planning a time this weekend to listen to the recording. If you don’t know LaToya Edwards and her story, you will want to!! I have never met her in person, but I enjoy reading her blog and her heart for the Lord is contagious. She is real and open about her life and struggles. I am really looking forward to this new show and series, because let’s face it – learning to let God lead isn’t my strong-suit.

Overall, I enjoyed my time being able to listen in on some of the shows. There are a few I have added to my Google Calendar so I don’t miss them. I also plan to check in periodically and listen to recorded shows when I can’t make the live ones. That is a wonderful feature, because as we all know – life happens!! Just hop on when you can and listen to any of the shows. And don’t forget there are many more shows on the site from government issues & current events to family life. So head on over to The Ultimate Homeschool Radio Network and check them out!
