24 Days of Thankfulness ~ Day 12

Day 12 ~ I am thankful for new friends.

Sometimes the Lord brings people in our lives to completely bless us. He has brought several ladies into my life here in Indiana that I have really connected with. They are godly women who encourage me and challenge me to be better in Him. They pray with me and for me – almost daily. We may not be able to “chat” every day, but we text often and know that we can call on each other in times of sorrow & grief as well as times of happiness and rejoicing. They are great listeners and lift my spirits when I see them.

We have gone to craft shows together, the Farmer’s Market and just coffee. I have never really been blessed with a lifelong best friend – other than my mother and grandmother – but these women come pretty close.

I am also blessed to have a special women that has become like a mother to both me and my husband. She is the one we call when I have made trips to the hospital at all hours of the night. She is the woman we call with any questions or concerns. She is the woman I confide in when I am frustrated and feeling alone. She is more than a blessing in our lives. She is truly a gift from God.

While there are times I feel completely alone here in Indiana, having moved away from all my family and friends, these women remind me that God is in control. God would never leave my side, nor leave me to travel this road alone. He has brought these women into my life for a reason and I am so incredibly blessed.
