As I mentioned in the Spring Edition, I have a slight obsession to buying clothes for my girls. Using a list to shop at the consignment stores first and then seek out deals has really helped not only our budget, but the closet space situation! So…some of these outfits may not be available in stores now and it is possible to dress your kids cute on a budget!!
My mom found this dress, originally from Children’s Place, at a garage sale and we put a white t-shirt underneath, as we do not usually allow sleeveless or spaghetti straps without a shirt. She insisted on wearing her tennis shoes this Sunday, so no cute shoes to report. She also has a light pink bow in her hair.
This is a dress both of my girls have worn. Miss Priss (left) wore it last year and Punkin (right) wore it this year. This dress was given to us by a sweet friend back in Oklahoma. It is the George brand from WalMart. They both have loved wearing it. Punkin has a simple, white shirt under hers and the only reason Miss Priss doesn’t is because we had just moved and couldn’t find it. lol Both of them are wearing similar bows that say Big Sis (Miss Priss) and Lil’ Sis (Punkin). No fancy white shoes, so pink, sparkly flip-flops from Wal-Mart were a perfect fit! 😉
How many of you wore a sailor outfit/dress when you were little? I remember having several of them. They are still so cute to me! Miss Priss is wearing one by Sophie Rose my Mom found at a garage sale with a white t-shirt underneath it. She insisted on wearing flip-flops like Mom, so she is sporting some Red, White & Blue flops I found at the Dollar Store – no joke! Punkin is wearing a dress by Cherokee (Target) that was handed down to us by our sweet friends in Oklahoma. She is barefoot, because she rarely keeps shoes on. Her accessories include a crown we made in Sunday School that morning and her Dora “pack-pack” which goes nearly everywhere with her these days. And don’t ask about the Sassy pose in the bottom right. I have no words.
These are two of my favorite outfits on the girls, possibly because I love Pink and Brown together. Both outfits were fount at the consignment shop close to our home. Punkin’s dress is by What A Doll! and Miss Priss’s shirt is Jumping Beans (Kohl’s) and her skirt is a brand called Route. Miss Priss has a brown flower clip in her hair and is wearing her favorite butterfly shoes, you saw in the Spring Edition. We tried a picture with Mom, but as you can tell…that didn’t go as planned.
These are just a few of the girls’ Summer outfits. I hope you have enjoyed a look into their closet. Another tip for shopping on a budget…shop in the off-season! Shop those consignment stores when the summer stock goes on sale. You can get some AMAZING deals. You will have to guess on the sizes, but most of the time the savings are totally worth it!!
